Theatrical journey of masks, movement, and music at the crossroads of myth and science, humanity and faith will open in September, 2010

LOS ANGELES, CA,  March 15, 2010--

Rogue Artists Ensemble, an award-winning collective of multi-disciplinary artists who create Hyper-theater, an innovative hybrid of theater, puppetry, masks, dance, music and modern technology, seeks contributions of original music and art to be incorporated into a new performance event titled HYPERBOLE: origins, scheduled to premiere in Los Angeles in September, 2010.

HYPERBOLE: origins logo

HYPERBOLE: origins is an original, adventurous celebration of myth, music, movement, and mania, all inspired by stories of creation. Resembling a collection of music videos performed live onstage, HYPERBOLE: origins will play out as a torrent of short scenes set to and inspired by music and visual art collected from contemporary musicians and artists.

HYPERBOLE: origins is being developed in part through a collaboration with the University of California Claire Trevor School of the Arts and is funded in part by a grant from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Workshop performances are being scheduled at UC Irvine and during the first annual Hollywood Fringe Festival.

For information on how to submit music, art, and other inspiration for use in the show, go to www.whatistheorigin.com.
